Grandmother's Apples: as maçãs verdes do sítio (A2)

Last Saturday I visited my grandmother's small farm. She showed me an old apple tree behind the house. The apples were green and very hard, so I did not want to eat one. My grandmother laughed and cooked them with sugar. After twenty minutes, the apples were soft and sweet. Now I always ask her for that dessert when I visit.
