Jack and Jill — aventura na cachoeira (simulado 2023, 1ª etapa)

Jack and Jill were two friends who loved to go on adventures together. One day, they decided to go on a hike in the mountains.

As they were walking, they saw a beautiful waterfall in the distance. Excited to get a closer look, they started to run towards it. But just as they got close, Jack slipped on a rock and fell into the water.

Jill couldn't stop laughing as she watched him flail around in the water. But then, she noticed something strange - Jack wasn't coming back up to the surface!

Panicked, Jill jumped into the water and started to search for him. Finally, she found him - he was stuck in a little nook behind the waterfall!

After a few minutes of struggling, Jill managed to pull him out of the nook. But as soon as they were both back on land, they couldn't stop laughing.

"Wow, that was a close one!" said Jack. "I almost became a permanent resident of that little nook!"

Jill replied, still giggling, "Yeah, and I would have had to come visit you every day with food and water!"

From that day on, whenever they went on an adventure, they always made sure to be a little more careful around waterfalls.

Qual é o tom predominante do diálogo acima?

  1. A) Trágico
  2. B) Cômico
  3. C) Dramático
  4. D) Melancólico
  5. E) Irritante
Ver gabarito comentado

Resposta correta: B

Apesar do susto com a queda de Jack, o texto trata o episódio com leveza: Jill "couldn't stop laughing", os dois riem ao final e trocam piadas ("I almost became a permanent resident of that little nook!" / "I would have had to come visit you every day with food and water!"). O tom predominante do diálogo é, portanto, cômico. O distrator mais forte é a C (dramático), pois há um momento de perigo real, mas ele é rapidamente resolvido e transformado em motivo de riso, não sendo o tom que domina o diálogo.
