Teste: Reported speech: perguntas e ordens

Em pergunta reportada, a ordem volta a ser afirmativa e sem auxiliar: 'where I lived'. Manter 'did I live' é o erro clássico de copiar a estrutura da pergunta direta.

'The night before' indica passado anterior à fala, exigindo past perfect: 'had seen'. 'Have seen' não sofre o recuo de tempo do discurso indireto.

3 They asked when we ___.

No discurso indireto com verbo no passado, 'will' vira 'would': 'would arrive'. 'Will arrive' só se manteria se o verbo de relato estivesse no presente.

4 The interviewer asked her why she ___ her previous job.

A saída do emprego é anterior à pergunta, então past perfect: 'had left'. 'Did she leave' repete a inversão da pergunta direta, proibida no discurso indireto.

5 I asked him whether he ___ help me with the report.

No discurso indireto no passado, 'can' recua para 'could'. Manter 'can' é o deslize comum quando o verbo de relato ('asked') já está no passado.

6 She asked me what time ___.

Pergunta reportada usa ordem afirmativa: 'what time the bank opened'. As formas com 'does/did' antes do sujeito pertencem apenas à pergunta direta.

7 He asked me if I ___ to the conference the following week.

'Am going' recua para 'was going' no discurso indireto passado. 'The following week' confirma que a fala original ('next week') foi deslocada no tempo.

8 My boss asked me how long I ___ for the company.

O present perfect continuous da fala original recua para past perfect continuous: 'had been working'. 'Have been working' ignora o recuo temporal.

9 The tourist asked ___ get to the museum.

Depois da palavra interrogativa, o sujeito vem antes do verbo: 'how he could'. 'How could he' mantém a inversão da pergunta direta.

10 She wondered whether they ___ the invitation yet.

Com 'wondered' no passado, o present perfect vira past perfect: 'had received'. 'Have received' seria possível apenas com verbo de relato no presente.
