Fronting & emphasis
Mude a ordem, mude o impacto: o inglês também sabe dramatizar.
Fronting é deslocar para o início da frase um elemento que normalmente viria depois, criando ênfase e ritmo: "Never have I seen such chaos", "What matters most is honesty". No C2, essas estruturas deixam de ser truques de prova e viram ferramentas reais de retórica, escrita e fala expressiva.

Because he fronted 'only when the results came in'. When a negative or restrictive phrase opens the sentence, the auxiliary jumps before the subject — it signals deliberate emphasis.

So close, Max! Once 'rarely' opens the sentence, you must invert: 'Rarely have I felt so motivated.' No inversion, no drama.

Think of it like the Portuguese 'Nunca na vida eu vi isso' — we front for drama too, but English charges a toll: the auxiliary must move. Fronting without inversion is like samba without percussion.

Quando usar
- Para ênfase dramática com advérbios negativos no início: "Never before had the team faced such pressure".
- Para destacar o que realmente importa com oração-Wh: "What we need now is a clear plan".
- Em descrições literárias ou vívidas, deslocando o lugar: "At the top of the hill stood a lonely chapel".
- Para criar contraste retomando algo mencionado: "Some mistakes we can fix; others we simply learn to live with".
- Com 'so/such' para intensificar resultados: "So convincing was her argument that nobody objected".

What + oração + be + elemento enfatizado
What annoys me is the constant noise. — O que me irrita é o barulho constante.
Advérbio/locução de lugar + verbo + sujeito
Out of the fog came a slow, silent ship. — De dentro da neblina surgiu um navio lento e silencioso.
Only then / Only after X + auxiliar + sujeito + verbo
Only after signing did she read the contract carefully. — Só depois de assinar é que ela leu o contrato com atenção.

O português permite 'Só então eu percebi' sem mexer na ordem, e o brasileiro transfere isso. Depois de 'only then', o inglês exige o auxiliar antes do sujeito.

Eco do português 'o que eu gosto é...': o falante insere um 'it' extra depois do verbo. Na cleft com 'what', a própria oração já é o sujeito — nada de pronome duplicado.

A inversão pede auxiliar + sujeito, não apenas mudar o advérbio de lugar. 'Never I had seen' mantém a ordem do português e desmonta toda a estrutura enfática.
