The documentary Nine Hours follows a single long-haul flight from the perspective of everyone except the passengers: the loaders, the cleaners, the fuel technicians, the woman who plans where each container sits so that the aircraft balances. It is a clever structure, and for forty minutes it is genuinely absorbing. The film then reaches for a bigger subject, climate, and loses its nerve. Two experts appear, disagree politely and vanish. What remains is a montage of clouds and a closing line about difficult choices, which is the documentary equivalent of a shrug. This is a pity, because the earlier material makes the point far better: watching thirty people work through the night so that one aircraft can leave on time tells you more about the true cost of cheap flying than any interview could.

Resposta correta: B

O resenhista aponta que o filme "reaches for a bigger subject, climate, and loses its nerve", terminando com algo que é "the documentary equivalent of a shrug".
