EPA estimates that approximately 3,000 American nonsmokers die each year from lung cancer caused by Illinois Clean second-hand smoke. Indoor Act The restaurants participating in this voluntary program have taken a progressive position by recognizing the need to go smoke-free to protect the health of their employees and patrons and by encouraging other restaurants across Illinois to participate.
