The Kitchen Table Office: quem paga pela cadeira do home office (B2)

Four years after offices half-emptied, the kitchen table has quietly become a piece of industrial equipment. Employers who once measured chair height and screen distance now send an email reminding staff to take breaks, and consider the matter settled. It is not. Occupational physiotherapists report a steady rise in neck and shoulder complaints among people under thirty-five, a group that used to appear rarely in their waiting rooms. The cause is not mysterious. A laptop balanced on a dining chair forces the head forward; the hours accumulate; the body adapts badly. Companies that saved considerable sums on rent should be required to spend a fraction of them on a proper desk and chair for anyone working from home more than two days a week. Flexibility was offered as a benefit. It should not arrive as a bill.

Resposta correta: D

A tese é normativa e aparece de forma direta: as empresas "should be required to spend a fraction of them on a proper desk and chair", ideia condensada no fecho "Flexibility was offered as a benefit. It should not arrive as a bill".
