Birds and Glass: carta do leitor sobre colisões em prédios (B1)
Dear Editor,
Last week I found a small bird dead on the pavement below my office. It was not the first. The building where I work is covered in glass, and birds cannot see it; they simply fly into the reflection of the sky. A colleague told me that millions of birds die this way every year in cities. The solution, apparently, is not expensive: patterns of dots on the glass are enough. Our company has been asked twice and has done nothing. If a single sticker can save a life, why are we still waiting?
