- A) If the fish hadn't blinked, Garfield wouldn't have eaten it.
- B) The fish doesn't know how to swim properly.
- C) Garfield isn't that hungry.
- D) Garfield could have swum in the fish bowl.
- E) Unless the fish had been smart, Garfield would have helped the fish and its family to survive.
