Snakes: voz passiva no presente (B1)

Snakes are often misunderstood animals. In many countries they ___ as dangerous enemies, and people kill them on sight. In reality, only a small number of species are really harmful to humans. Snakes control the population of rats and mice, so farmers who protect them usually lose less grain. Some scientists study snake venom because it can be used in modern medicine. Education programmes in schools explain how to behave when a snake appears in a garden. Slowly, the old fear is changing into respect.

Assinale a alternativa que completa corretamente a lacuna do texto.

  1. A) is still seen
  2. B) are still seen
  3. C) are still seeing
  4. D) have still seen
  5. E) will still seeing
Ver gabarito comentado

Resposta correta: B

A voz passiva no presente simples é formada por am/is/are + particípio passado, e o sujeito "they" (snakes) exige "are". "Is still seen" erra a concordância com o sujeito plural, e "are still seeing" é voz ativa contínua, que não combina com "as dangerous enemies" nem com o sentido do trecho. "Will still seeing" é agramatical, pois after "will" só se usa o infinitivo sem "to".
