O superlativo aponta o campeão de um grupo: o mais alto, o melhor, o mais caro. Em inglês, adjetivos curtos ganham -est e os longos ganham 'the most'. É a gramática perfeita para falar de recordes, favoritos e exageros.

Quando usar
- Para destacar um item entre três ou mais: "She is the tallest girl in the class."
- Para falar de recordes e extremos: "The Amazon is the largest rainforest in the world."

- Para experiências marcantes: "It was the worst day of my life."

February is the shortest month. — Fevereiro é o mês mais curto.
the most + adjetivo
That was the most expensive dinner ever. — Aquele foi o jantar mais caro de todos.
good → the best / bad → the worst
He's the best player on the team. — Ele é o melhor jogador do time.
superlativo + in + lugar/grupo
It's the biggest city in Brazil. — É a maior cidade do Brasil.

Tradução literal de 'do mundo'. Com lugares, o inglês usa 'in the world', 'in Brazil', 'in my city'.
